Meet the hardworking staff who are passionate about keeping our parks and recreation spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for all. You’ll meet one veteran who has dedicated three decades of service to our city’s parks, as well as a newer crew member who meticulously scans for hazards through the eyes of a mom who takes her daughter to play at the same park.
We’ll take a closer look at how the City’s budget is made and the challenges we’ll be tackling next. For our featured story, you’ll discover some of the innovative and inspirational programs that form our comprehensive approach to creating safer communities.
From experience, I can tell you that your City staff is made up of exceptionally dedicated public servants who are committed to working hard on behalf of the Burien community every day. It’s an honor to be able to share some of those stories with you in each of these issues, which serve as a reminder of what we can accomplish when we work together toward the same goal.
