What do you see carved in the stone? Why do you think this piece is called “Waiting for the Bus”?
About the Artist
John Dunton was raised in the desert and he learned silversmithing and lapidary in high school, skills he continues to practice. Art has always been a part of my life. On his introduction to stone, he says, “the moment the chisel touched the rock, I knew I found my bliss. So for the last 15 years, I have worked nearly every day in stone.” He has worked out of Redmond, Washington since 2004.
